Quick answers

How do I format a script?
Start a line with # for a section heading. Put stage directions in brackets, like [pause] or [smile]. Headings and cues show in the prompter but aren't read aloud, and they're left out of captions.
What's the difference between Steady and Voice Follow?
Steady scrolls at the speed you set in words per minute. Voice Follow (Pro) listens on-device and keeps your place as you speak, waits when you pause, and catches up if you skip a line.
How do captions work?
Open a take and choose Captions. Lenscript listens to the take on your iPhone to get the timing, then uses your script's exact words, so names and brands are always spelled right. Share SRT/VTT files for YouTube, or export the video with captions burned in for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.
Where are my recordings?
In the Takes list for each script, and in Files › On My iPhone › Lenscript › Takes. If "Also save takes to Photos" is on, they're in Photos too.
Can I start and stop recording without touching the screen?
Yes. The volume buttons and Camera Control start and stop recording. A Bluetooth keyboard also works: Space plays or pauses the prompter, the arrow keys change speed, and Return records.
Foldable iPhone tips
Half-fold the phone on a desk: the script sits on the upright half next to the camera and the controls sit on the flat half. With the rear camera selected, the script can appear on the outer screen, so whoever is being filmed can read it while you frame the shot.
